Fridge Locker As Seen On Pitchmen

The Fridge Locker? I really didn't know what to expect when I saw the names of the products being featured on season 2 of Discovery Channel's Pitchmen. So I did a little research in anticipation for my favorite show and was pretty surprised by what I found.

What surprised me was not what the Fridge Locker was, but how much I needed one. At first I thought it was kind of silly but as I began to think about the fact my food would be safe from a Grizzly bear, and of course whether or not the Fridge Locker would stand up to Big Foot, my mind wandered into steady stream of practical applications for this handy little invention.

If you have not seen it yet, I would describe the Fridge Locker as pretty much a food safe for the fridge. Now you may be wondering why anyone would need such a thing, but trust me, if you spend a few minutes thinking about it, you'll understand.

My first thought was in my home. Now we are not in the habit of hoarding our food and not sharing but I am notorious for eating that first piece of pie as it is cooling. Now I will say that I developed the habit of pie thieving due to the fact my wife likes to bake pies and give them to friends. She loves to bake but doesn't want the food around because she is too tempted. My theory has always been that if I ruin the pie, then she could not give it away. I thought it was brilliant husbandry in action but my wife hates it. So if she could use a fridge locker to keep me away from her baked goods, she would be thrilled.

Now, that is just my personal example but believe me, there are much more practical applications for this thing. But before we talk about them let's have a look at the Fridge Locker commercial so you can see what I'm talking about.

Fridge Locker Reviews

So you've seen the Fridge Locker commercial and maybe you're still focused on the Grizzly Bear but it's time to start thinking about how you could use one of these things in your life. One of the most interesting things about the Fridge Locker is that it violates one of the key elements of Direct Response marketing yet it is featured on Pitchmen.

If you've paid attention to past episodes you may have heard Sully tell inventors that on Television, prevention does not sell. I first heard A.J. Khubani of Telebrands say this a few years back and I know these guys have passed on products for this reason alone. It has nothing to do with the product itself, but as a rule they find that marketing a prevention product doesn't work well on television.

I guess they threw out this rule for the Fridge Locker because this is a big time prevention product. It will keep the fat guy at work from stealing your pudding so it tells me that we value our food maybe a little too much. But if Sully says we need to guard our snacks and he's willing to take a chance on this during prime time television, then the smart money ought to listen. (so I am)

Perhaps Sully isn't really taking such a risk, or perhaps it is just a very calculated one, because the Pitchmen are banking on a very seasoned inventor with a track record. If you look closely at Sully's hands you won't see any burns from his grill. That's because Sully recently brought out a product called the Grill Glove, and you guessed it, it was invented by Kevin Alan of Locker Brand Inc. who is behind both the Rx Locker and the Fridge Locker being featured on Episode 3. So with Alan's track record , Sully is using the success breeds success marketing model and throwing the prevention doesn't sell theory out the window.

So knowing that the research has been done and understanding that there is a market for the Fridge Locker, how does it fit in to your life? Other than the problem of pie protecting in the house, the office is a great place where the Fridge Locker will come in handy. I never actually thought about solving the problem of missing food, but at work we have a running gag about who is taking all the Diet Cokes. We all have our theories and even though it is a bit frustrating, we have fun blaming everyone from the cleaning crew to Jack Bauer from 24. Having a Fridge Locker would not only help us solve the case, but allow us to make sure our lunches, snacks and candies are going to be there when we want.

But the commercial also made me think about large companies, hospitals and manufacturing plants that work around the clock. We only have 4 people but imagine trying to have a secure spot in the break room at a place with a hundred or even a thousand employees. With so little chance of getting caught helping yourself to someone else's lunch, there really is no incentive not to grab something. Nothing is worse than starving your way through a shift and finally getting a break for some food and it isn't there.

The fridge locker is not just for the fridge, you can put it in the freezer or cabinet. It's small enough to bring on the go as a lunch box and sturdy enough to keep the kids away from the Halloween candy you want to give out to trick or treaters. There are definitely a lot of sensible uses for this thing and the price is right. I see them online for $19.99 but you can go to the official Fridge Locker site and get two for that price plus shipping & handling. That's a better deal.

We'll have to see how this product shakes out on Pitchmen, but the fact that they will feature both the Rx Locker and the Fridge Locker from inventor Kevin Alan on the same episode sounds like a ringing endorsement to me. So get ready to sentence your snacks to life behind bars and be on the lookout for the Fridge Locker.

I can't believe the fridge locker came out. I just got rid of my Grizzly Bear. Had I known it was coming, I would have kept him. Oh Sully!

I have an idea for a computer that will be sold to everyone that uses a computer. How can i go about getting a hold of someone who wants to make a lot of money and knows the business.
