Fushigi Gravity Ball As Seen On TV

The Fushigi Gravity Ball has got to be one of the neatest As Seen On TV products of all time. Not since the squirmle back in the 70's have I seen something so mesmerizing on that looked so easy to do.

When I saw the Fushigi Commercial I immediately thought of contact juggling and as I did some research I found out that Fushigi follows these same principles. I also thought of Devil Sticks, which are again another form of juggling so as I watched in amazement at this thing, I knew it wasn't just some trick. The hardest part about trying to figure out what was behind this thing was trying to remember the name so I could look it up online. I'm thinking Fushigi is a pretty bad name, and judging by the amount of people on the internet asking for the name of that cool ball they saw on TV, I might be right.

Having said, I do think that Fushigi will become so popular that in a few months Fushigi will be a household name and a name that very few people will forget. I've yet to meet a man, woman or child who after seeing the commercial doesn't think it's the coolest thing in the world. In fact not only is this thing becoming wildly popular, it's becoming a craze. Will it be the next Pet Rock? I have no idea, but what I do know is the Fushigi Gravity Ball is the next As Seen On TV Toys smash hit.

Let's take a look at the commercial just in case you have not seen it and then we will get into the fushigi reviews.

Fushigi Ball As Seen On TV

Fushigi Gravity Ball Review

So if you watched the Fushigi video you are probably somewhat amazed but you don't need to be. Yes it's cool but it doesn't take a ton of talent to use and it's a great toy for young and old. I happen to know how to juggle and do a few other similar things so I was able to pick it up quick but it's something everyone can have fun with the first time they pick it up.

One of the best things about Fushigi is that unlike a lot of toys, there is always something new to learn which keeps people interested. This is not something your kids will get sick of in a week. There is a tremendous amount of satisfaction that goes along with mastering some of these tricks and no matter where you go or what you do, as long as you bring your fushigi, you will be the center of attention. I've yet to come across a single human who hasn't asked to try it when they see me with it. It's not just a chick magnet, it's an everything magnet.

Once you get the Fushigi gravity ball in your hands it is suggested that you go through the instructions or watch the included DVD so you get an idea of what you are doing. This does take some practice and part of it is learning to master the illusion. So after a while the tricks look better but the basic motions of some tricks can be learned in a few minutes. The advanced stuff will take a bit longer but you will get it if you are diligent in practicing.

The fushigi ball is so fun you will want to practice. Trust me on this. Also trust me when I saw this is much easier than real contact juggling. The people who designed this made it much simpler than the standard contact juggling, or gravity balls. These are smaller, easier to handle and made from more user friendly materials. The product is recommended for 12 and up but I honestly have no idea why they would say such a thing. Kids of all ages are really taken by the fushigi and when these kids put their minds to it, they pick it up right away.

One of things I learned long ago from Devil Sticks was that toys like these are somewhat therapeutic. It's mentioned in the Fushigi Commercial but I find it to be true. You tend to get lost in what you are doing and pretty much focus on nothing else. When you get into a grove with your basic moves it can be a lot a meditation. These type of toys engage your entire body and your mind and it's a super cool feeling.

The fushigi, and toys along these lines are so much better than a video game to keep your kids entertained and develop some skill and self confidence. You won't your kids spending a lot of time with this because it will open up a whole world of imagination and sense of personal satisfaction. I experienced myself growing with these type of toys and it gave me the desire to keep striving for more. You'll see for yourself the first time you pull off a cool trick. It's a great feeling.

One of the best things the Fushigi people have done is to create some video tutorials to explain how to do the many Fushigi tricks. They are easy to follow but some of the tricks are difficult and require a lot practice and patience.

These Fushigi tutorials are performed by experts who have a lot of time and effort invested in their performance art because this is really what this stuff is. So don't be frustrated and just try your best to master the skills in your own time frame. There is now hurry and these tutorials will be available always.

In fact, a cool aspect of a toy like fushigi is that in no time videos of people showing off their skills will be popping up by the dozens on sites like Youtube. Wait and see, you'll be shocked at what some of these people will be able to pull off. I imagine the experts will be put to shame when the public gets a hold of this thing. I'm sure there will be other tutorials produced by people just like you which will explain how to do the basics and some will probably even do a better job than the ones on the Fushigi web site.

By the way I see people reacting to this thing, the press that it's getting and the fact that it is so cool, I think we are witnessing the beginning of the Fushigi gravity ball phenomena.

What Is Fushigi?

Fushigi Ball Tricks Tutorial

Now, I'm going to say up front that I didn't buy Fushigi online. I certainly would have but someone in the office had one and he let me borrow it. We now keep it in the office and it's in constant use. Everyone is getting pretty good with this thing. So I do want to point out that there are some online complaining about the ordering process, stating that it is fairly deceptive and if you are not careful you can be double charged.

This type of ordering deception is nothing new in the As Seen On TV world and unfortunately for some, there is no place to buy Fushigi other than online so keep that in mind. Even though I've read articles about retailers saying tons of people come in and ask for fushigi, the retailers cannot get them to sell just yet. This company has decided to market through the As Seen On TV channels to get maximum exposure and buzz, and for better or for worse, it seems to be working. So expect to pay $19.99 plus S&H and another S&H charge for the "free" video.

When my children,11 and 13 year old girls saw the Fushigi on TV they were amazed. I had to explain to them that the thing did'nt really float in air. And that they were an item of illusion that you had to learn the tricks to in order to make them do the things that the video showed. Thank you for this review, I now have backup that Mom might actually know what she is talking about.

Bgar we know its a ball, look up contact juggling before you leave such a uninformed comment. Fushigi is one of the many different balls available on the market. Youtube has great videos, look up under contact juggling and be amazed.

I was wondering about something I saw in the commercial. If you watch the commercial you can see that some of the Fushigi balls are clear(possibly acrylic or glass) and some seem to have an inner chrome or mirrored surface. Which are actually the ones being sold and does it make a difference in the results? Any insight would be appreciated, when I noticed that it seemed "fishy" or deceptive. It doesn't seem to be correct for them to advertise with two different types and the buyer not knowing which they will receive or receive the one they were not expecting.Thank you for your time.

All this thing is a cool looking ball. because its shiny, it has a hypnotic effect that is a bit of an optical illusion. It keeps your eyes off of the fact that the ball is doing nothing and the hands are pretending like it is 'floating.' Though the ball is quality made, it really is a rip-off. the ball is very heavy and there is no doubt in my mind that the company that made the ball will get law suit after law suit filed at them. Why? because they are telling children to throw this ball around and up in the air and all, and if the kid hits his head with it, he would surely get a concussion! The ball is at least ten times as dense as a hardball, and trying to do some of the tricks in the instructions, a kid could easily break his nose! Moreover, there is NO warning of how dangerous the ball really is. Furthermore, if the ball gets out of control it would break whatever it hits, and easily would crack a tile floor. The "Fushigi" is best just sitting on a table on its stand, looking like a crystal ball! Speaking of "crystal balls," I am already predicting that there will be a tragic accident and either Fushigi will get sued out of business Then weirdos that like to collect things will be trying to hunt them down on eBay and willing to pay a big price for this rare thing that went off the market and the many stories about all the kids that got concussions and broken noses!

"Does it work?" is the wrong question to ask. There are videos of it "working" it's a ball! How you use it and practice makes it work. IT's NOT FAKE. What is fake though is the 'only online bit' - i bought mine at Bed Bath and Beyond.

nospamsam 14 months ago

It is mildly amazing but even the instructions say to not play with it indoors because breaking Mom's knick Knacks or glass coffee table is not going to make you new found ball friend a big hit with your parents. Basically it is a shinny looking orb and nothing more. You can juggle a tennis ball that come 3 to a can just as easily and it will not smash glass table tops. With winter coming on outside toys are not going to be a big hit that you have to take outside to use. if you can't use them you will get bored real quick with them. This ball to me is more hype then it is hip and as soon as people start uploading the manual on line and copying the disk and uploading that to the internet then the $19.95 just drops down to free. They also sell acrylic balls at craft stores and they are no where near $19.95. Watch the tons of videos on You Tube before you blow 20 bucks on something that your dog probably already has in your back yard. I give it a big thumbs down. Besides i don't buy anything priced at $19.95. To me $19.95 is another term for cheap junk.

this is just a bouncey ball

MICHELLE 14 months ago

That ball is lame, it doesnt work how it shows on tv and it takes alot of practice to do what those freaks do. I bought one for my fiance within 30 mins of playing with the thing it fell on his head and now he has a huge bump on it, painful yes i caught it and my finger bones are bruised now.

Kelly 14 months ago

I ordered this online and a few days later I received a phone call telling me that with my order I had been "subscribed" to 3 "promotional" things that I must opt out of once I recieve the paperwork in the mail. Otherwise I will be charged a varying fee($19.99 for one, $24.99 for the other etc...) each month to the credit card I ordeded the ball with. So now I must check my junk mail daily to make sure I get the paperwork and call the phone number to unsubscribe. What a scam. I"m really angry about this.

Bud E 14 months ago

I purchased 2 of the balls for 19.99 each with free cd's and was billed for a total of 107.92, they do not tell you the total when you buy online until they ship. They do not answer the phone at customer service. Beware!!!!

Fushigi is actually a brand name ball used for a art form called Contact Juggling. You need good instruction, patience, and hours of practice to master the moves shown on commercials.

The Fushigi ball is meant to be a beginner ball- it comes with an instructional DVD and the ball is half metal half acrylic. This is important as a regular acrylic ball will act as a magnifying glass (starting fires) if left in the sun. However it NOT EVEN A GOOD BEGINNER BALL! Being made of the material it is, it is heavy. Starting out with this kind of weight can cause tendon strain and potential arm injury! Not only that, but when learning how to Contact Juggle, you will drop (drop meaning drop or accidentally throw across the room) the ball A LOT. Heaver balls like this will break TV screens, laptops, plates, mugs, and hurt your own body, others, or your pets. Many people have figured this out the hard way. Also the outer shell is made of acrylic which scratches easily. Therefore when you actually get the moves, the scratches and dents will ruin the illusion you are trying to create. Top it all off, there are Fushigi balls that AREN'T EVEN BALANCED CORRECTLY! They do not center the metal sphere perfectly in all the balls, making the balance off and the moves even harder to learn!

The instructional DVD features a man called The Amazing Kenny, who is well renowned for his Contact Juggling. You can find his instruction on YouTube (with permission from Kenny).

The false advertising that Fushigi is a "magic gravity ball", and that you can just pick it up and do these moves have also created a huge problem in the Contact Juggling community. People who have worked years to gain skill, and even those who do this professionally, are being called frauds because people say that they use a "rigged ball". It's quite sad.

If you want to learn contact juggling, pick up a Stage Ball or Sil-X ball. There are plenty of Magic/Juggling shops on and off line that carry these balls. They are made of rubbery material and lighter so they will not damage any thing/one when dropped. Best size would be 100mm, possibly smaller for children. When you improve you may want to buy a acrylic ball for better visual effects when performing.

It is marketed falsely, it is not a balanced ball (low quality) and is not for beginner which it is essentially a beginner package. If you are a experienced juggler you can manipulate this ball with ease and it looks quite nice- like an acrylic with a twist. But then again I've seen tea cups and oranges juggled just the same by an experienced contact juggler also. Also if you do your research you'll see people get scammed when ordering from the website.

Umm @haloreach! maybe if you spent less time playing halo and practiced your spelling and typing, maybe you'd be smart enough to put your mind to it.

Unless your kids have a huge attention span and no life....don't waste your money......the hours of practice it would take to master this thing would huge. The commercial clearly shows it floating and rolling down the guys arm with ease. These are trick that have taken years to master. If your kid is an aspiring magician great,,,, if your kid plays soccer, have music lessons, plays video games, and hang out with friends like most kids,,,,,,, they will lose interest in this toy in about five minutes. You could master these tricks with a tennis ball if you practiced enough........ What a scam! I bought one for both my 8 and 11 year old,,,, and they lost interest in about five minutes....... This is nothing more than the magic abb machine and other infomercials that don't work for kids.....

Weirdo101 13 months ago

I think the fushigi ball is a total ripoff. its not a real gravity ball and it doesnt even work!!!

bs 12 months ago

its a ball that has a mirror look on the inside so it doesnt look like its moving when you contact juggle it. which is why it looks so cool but other then that grab an orange and try it out before you buy this dumb ball

Kailey 12 months ago

This fushigi ball thing is totes confusing me does it work or not? i need 2 know if i should return it!!!

Kailey 12 months ago

The guys on TV have no lives, thats why they are so good all they do is practice all day long thats why they make it look so easy!!!

I got a Fushigi Unmagic Gravity Ball for Valentines day. It doesn`t work!!!! I am so returning it!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON FUSHIGI!!!

Matt 10 months ago

Its a contact Juggling Ball... If you wanted to get good at juggling you'd invest in Juggling Balls (not tennis balls, oranges etc..) If you wanted learn how to Constact Juggle.. you get one of these.. Out of all the people who get this the ones who'll love it are the types who already juggle,diablo,Poi,yoyo.. etc... I think these are wicked fun.. they defo take practice but if you are to.. you'll have a ball!!...

My ball floats awesome.

I do not know how they made this thing defy gravity, but it is absolutely amazing. My only issue is sometimes it floats too high and it gets stuck on the ceiling. I normally just use the pool skimmer to get it down. My 3 year old son had loads of fun playing with this magical invention. That is, until the accident. He swallowed his Fushigi ball outside and then floated into space. I miss my son but I love this ball.
