Identity Stronghold Secure Sleeves On Pitchmen
Secure Sleeves by Identity Stronghold were featured on Season 2, Episode 2 of Discovery Channel's Pitchmen. This surprises me a bit because this product has been on the market for a while. However, it is a brilliant idea with a lot of mass appeal. Further, the pricing is right and like all good as seen on TV products, it certainly provides a simple solution to a common problem.
So it makes sense that they would have a go at Secure Sleeves on Pitchmen but you will have to watch the Episode to see how it goes. (Or at least have to read to the bottom of this page) But before we get to how Secure Sleeves fared on the show, let us take a look at Pitchman Anthony "Sully" Sullivan's Identity Stronghold Secure Sleeves Commercial.

Identity Stronghold Secure Sleeves Reviews
You have seen the commercial made by the Pitchmen so even without watching the episode you might be able to guess that there is a lot of support for this type of product. In a nut shell the Identity Stronghold is a very high tech credit card sleeve which keeps credit card scanners from being able to read a card and steal information.
Criminals always amaze me because it seems they are always able exploit every new technology for what ever mischief they want to. In this case, the advent and subsequent implementation of RFID technology has created a great new opportunity for identity thieves. RFID technology is what allows our credit cards to become smart cards and what retailers are counting on to get us through the check out lines quicker. This type of tech has been used at McDonalds and Gas Stations for some time now and the convenience is terrific.
But, it was pretty alarming to find out you could by a RFID reader on the internet for less than $20. All someone has to do is get that reader new your handbag or wallet and your credit card numbers are electronically scooped up and ready for the thieves to use. You never lose your card because it doesn't leave your possession. This gives thieves incredibly easy access to your personal information and because your card remains exactly where you left it, you won't even suspect your information has been compromised.
While this technology is great for consumers, the fact that these new smart cards emit information means that it just as easy for a crook to charge your card as it is for a retailer. The identity stronghold stops this from happening. It's a high tech secure sleeve but all we really need to know is that this secure sleeve interrupts the communication between your card and the reader. The crooks may still be able to scan your handbag or wallet in a crowd but they will not be able to steal your information. Now that's cool
Identity Stronghold As Seen On TV
As mentioned above, Identity Stronghold has been on the market for awhile, but the company set their sites on infiltrating the consumer market and making a pitch to the Pitchmen was the just the thing which could make this a reality.
Now if you have read my Hubs before, then you know there is a formula for successful As Seen On TV products. They all have certain things in common, so if the Identity Stronghold Secure Sleeves have all these characteristics that we should be looking at a successful direct response product. Judging by the results on the Pitchmen testing of the product it appears to fit the bill.
First, the product must quickly prove that it is a simple solution for a very common problem. Next, it must have mass appeal. Then it should very affordable. And finally, there has to be a "wow" factor which will grab the viewers attention.
The secure sleeve certainly solves the problem of protecting your information from identity thieves. This problem is on the rise so it does have mass appeal. With the special As Seen On TV special pricing, 8 secure sleeves for $19.99 seems to be more than affordable. But, does the Identity Stronghold have the required "wow" factor?
I think it does, but kind of in reverse order. There is nothing wowing about a protective credit card sleeve, but I think the "wow" comes with the news that criminals have such easy access to our credit cards, the industry has known this all along, but nobody wanted consumers to know! Now that is a wow if I've ever heard one. So we really have a cheap and easy solution to a huge problem which can ruin our financial lives. How could the Identity Stronghold Secure Sleeves fail as an As Seen On TV product?

where,s the phone # for identity stronghold?????
Very practical. I'm buying some for stocking stuffers for my adult children.
It's a good idea, but be very careful ordering from this company. Site advertises that it makes a great gift, but after ordering 10 days ago and having my card charged the next day, the product has not even shipped. Beginning to think this might be a scam. Anyone else have the same problem?

WOW, I just watched this episode of pitchmen, and it seems extremely useful, but I don't think I really need it. It seems like the future of Identity protection, since the future of identity theft is the wireless readers, which this protects. This seems like an awesome product, and people should really start getting this.
