Style Snaps Reviews: No More Hemming Machine
Style Snaps - No More Hemming Machine
That's right, Style Snaps replaces the need for a hemming machine. Every since I noticed how handy the perfect fit button was, I wondered what would be coming next from the as seen on TV bunch regarding instant fashion fixes.
Now I don't own a hemming machine so it's not like I'm replacing it but like so many others I have a problem with hemming that Style Snaps can fix in a jiffy. As soon as I saw the ad I thought this was a brilliant product and immediately knew this would be a hit. So often I see the infomercial and don't really get why someone would need this product, but not this time. This is a winner.
Basically Style Snaps are a cool little stick on mechanism that allows you to alter the hem of your pants instantly. Further, this is not permanent so you can adjust your length at any time. For example, this makes it perfect for hemming to match the shoe you are wearing. Now that's a cool idea.
Instead of me talking about Style Snaps, let's watch the commercial so you can see what I'm talking about. If they work well, Style Snaps are going to be the next must have fashion accessory.

Style Snaps Reviews
So you can see from watching the As Seen On TV ad that if Style Snaps really work, then they really are a must have. I had to have them because I actually have a pretty serious problem with my pants. Whenever I find the perfect fitting pants, they are usually about 3/4 an inch too long. If I by them shorter then they usually don't fit right in other places. Further, I usually don't have them hemmed because for one, I'm lazy about going to the shop, and two I prefer to have them long. The only problem is that depending on the shoe I wear, the pants usually drag on the ground and after a while tear due to my heel digging in whenever I walk.
For women it could be even worse. Women have so many shoes with different size heels it's nearly impossible for one pants length to look perfect every time. With Style Snaps you can instantly alter the hem so theoretically you can get the perfect length each time. I said theoretically because it takes a little talent to get them right.
The only tough part about using style snaps is lining them up and placing them exactly where you want your hem. With a little practice it becomes easier but it was a big challenge for me. But all you really have to do is remove the backing form the snaps to expose the adhesive, press them into place and then snap them together. If you're good, it's really that simple. If not, you will have to move them around a bit until you get them right.
You won't have to sew anything or glue anything. You don't really have to iron your hem, you can press down on the hem and create a little crease without much effort at all. You can even use them to when you roll your pants for perfect cuffs.
In fact, Style Snaps work very well on lapels, belts, snap pockets and lots of other items. You can find new creative uses for them all the time because they just stick on and peel off. It's really pretty brilliant if you think about it. I myself can't tell you how they work on skirts and blouses but if you master the placement of these things, I'm sure they will do fine.
One of the best things about Style Snaps is using them on kids clothes. I don't have to tell you how expensive kids clothing can be, especially when the kids grow out of them quickly. But buying them a little long and having a temporary hem is a great option. Kids can even share clothes if they are different heights so these things are sensible.
Right now they have a pretty fair buy one get one free offer and they come with the strap perfect witch is another hot little item. These things are an as seen on TV dream but be careful when ordering or you may get more than you bargained for. The buy one get one is standard so if you check "2" in the box you are going to get double charged. Don't fall for it.
Just plan on spending $19.99 + $6.99 S&H and you'll get 32 Style Snaps and 6 Strap Perfects. I'm not sure if you can find style snaps in stores so just be careful ordering online.

The info here is not correct- you have to pay a SEPARATE shipping charge for the second "free" set- read the fine print as you may not want to pay $16 in shiping for some little plastic things that probably actually cost a dollar to ship. Do you really want to spend $26 for them? That much may not be worth it for you and it takes a long time to receive them as well.
When I saw they charged me double for the shipping, I immediately called them. They said it was a software glitch(I doublt it), but they credited me right away for the extra $7.99. That being said, while the standard snaps are ok for a belt, I find they are too bulky for hemming pants or for closing the gap in a shirt. You would need much thinner snaps for either. These sit too far apart!
can i buy these in the uk? or will anyone post to the UK?
I ordered one pair of style snaps by telephone. It is a recording, not a real person. I didn't want the "buy one, get one", and indicated so on the recording. When I received the shipment, I had four boxes and no invoice. I called my credit card company and found that they had charged me $54.00! When the credit card company got the Snaps person on the line, he said that you can't order only one and I must have "inadvertantly ordered more"! Then he says that the shipping cost is $39.99!!! These things don't weight a half pound! They ended up taking $16.00 off my credit card. For what they cost, I could have taken my pants to the tailors for less!
What a rip off!
I would like to know if you got my order
These don't work. I ordered the Buy-one-get-one-free ($10 + $18 in shipping even though the items were sent in an unpadded plastic envelope and weighed about half a pound). The stylesnaps were extremely difficult to apply straight and didn't work on either my jeans or my dress pants. Throughout the day, I was constantly having to readjust snaps that had partially fallen off and were snagging on other parts of the pants. In addition, at the end of the day I realized that I had completely lost two snaps (I applied four pairs to each pant leg - front, back, left, right).
I tried following their directions and washing the snaps to make them stickier, but this didn't help. They just aren't flexible enough to stay stuck to moving pants all day.
What a waste of money! I completely regret purchasing them.
don't buy these from the advertiser. I purchase mine from Carol Wright onine and they were $9.99 plus $3.99 for handling. That was a total of $13.54 for 16 snaps, it's the best buy I've found.
Well, I placed my order almost 3 weeks ago...but nothing received yet. I would think after paying the huge amount for "shipping" I should have received them by now.
Please do not waste your money, these do not work.
I placed my order on January 3rd and have still not gotten them. Their advertisement is false when they state 4-6 weeks.
I agree with all the bad reviews. My snaps took ages to ship and then they charged me $27.80. The shipping was $17.80. IT'S A RIP OFF. Is there a consumer protection agency that can close this compnay down? And now I read they don't work ( mine are still in transit).I plan to ask how to get a refund.
I just wanted to share some information with everyone. These Are at the Dollar tree for $1.00 the package has 48 in there. They r called Snap and Hem. They may even work better. Hope this helped.
Has anyone ever tried using these for hemming curtains, that are too long and get snagged by the couch? If so, what kind of fabric were the curtains made from & did they work?
You can get a set of 16 Style Snaps at Bed Bath and Beyond for $9.99.
